Companion Match (Phase 4)
- “Companion Match” building relationships with local and nation corporations via the website. “Companion Match” would pair a shelter pet to a person who mentally and physically qualifies for a service animal. For low income individuals, grants would be established to pay for adoption and license fees. Then health insurance would be available at a discounted rate through a contracted pet insurance company. Again, funding and grants would be available for the qualifying from private and corporate financial contracts. We would openly encourage anyone who qualifies and is seeking a service animal to find one from a shelter. Through relationships built with larger companies we would be able to offer grants and proper screening from the shelter to help ensure these pets will not end up back on the streets or in shelter.
